The Role:



We are looking for an energetic Culture & Development (C&D) Manager that is excited to have a meaningful impact. Your time will be spent supporting our Managers & Supervisors to be great people leaders. In this role, you will also be hands-on for a wide variety of people practices, programs, and tools that bring to life our culture for every employee. Imagine, every day you will play a meaningful role in shaping our client success and future. This role reports to the Chief People Officer.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Be a strategic thought partner for the management team to maximize employee engagement: in service to exceptional operational performance.
  • Manage the development of implementation plans to promote culture & development programs that support employees in their professional practice, professional development and career progression.
  • Partner with hiring managers to effectively onboard new hires to set them up for success in their career within the company. This may include facilitating new hire boot camp, setting them up in our HR Systems, answering onboarding questions, etc.
  • Be the go-to person for employees to get guidance or support related to our people practices and systems.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to people leaders using the company’s vision and values to help them effectively apply our people practices, particularly around performance feedback, employee relations, and development discussions.
  • Design & implement innovative employee development and engagement initiatives in support of, and in partnership with, the business, i.e. training programs, roundtable discussions, culture academy etc.
  • Partner with cross-department and cross-functional teams to create and implement process improvements and other special projects as they arise.
  • Conduct investigations of employee relations issues in alignment with the company’s standard, values and leadership principles.
  • Demonstrate your knowledge and experience with sophisticated employment issues to drive high integrity employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution strategies
  • Drive projects from discovery to implementation, including developing project plans and timelines, and coordinating internal and external resources to meet project requirements.
  • Manage development activities across the organization- facilitate the implementation of training delivery to include in-house and external training, webinars and online learning.
  • As a leader in the People Function, you will be responsible for leading efforts in talent development, people strategies, change management, organizational effectiveness, and driving a culture of ownership within the organization

  • You have demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance competing priorities and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and change
  • You are a results-oriented professional who has the ability to diagnose issues, see patterns of problems and demonstrate ownership in driving solutions
  • You make decisions without direct supervision given broad guidelines and understanding how those decisions affect all of the stakeholders
  • You are an effective change agent
  • You are able to navigate successfully in a matrix organization involving corporate, regional, and business unit resources

 

Skills:

  • You are an innovative, business-oriented, professional who is a comfortable challenging convention, being bold and setting the pace for others to follow.
  • You hold a post-secondary degree.
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in driving culture and engagement
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the areas of culture ambassador, change management, talent development, employee relations and communication.
  • You have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
  • You have effective consulting and coaching skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive talent development and enhance employee engagement.
  • You are able to develop and execute effective and right-sized tactics from the overall strategy.
  • You possess the initiative, enthusiasm and motivation to achieve results with a natural focus on client service and HR excellence.
  • You possess project management skills.
